Game of Thrones

This MUN will be set just after the death of Robert Baratheon, the first of his name.

Westeros is in uproar. With the death of Robert Baratheon and the beheading of Ned Stark, the Seven Kingdoms fracture. Rob Stark, first son of Ned Stark, rallies his bannermen and declares himself King of the North. With the support of his mother’s family, House Tully, the River Lands and the North both rise up against the Lannisters of the Westlands and Jeoffrey in King’s Landing. Robert Baratheon’s brother Stannis, gathers the combined forces of Dragonstone and Stormend with the aim of seizing Iron Throne.

In the mean time, House Martell bids its time waiting. Officially supporting the claim of Jeoffrey, the Martells hold a deep grudge against the Lannisters, blaming the Lannisters for the murder of Elia Martell, the sister of the current Lord Martell who was murdered following the fall of the Targaryens.

Against this chaotic backdrop, reports have reached the Seven Kingdoms of Daenerys Targaryen. The Mother of Dragons is in the process of raising a huge army and, together with her three dragons, cross the Narrow Sea to reclaim the Iron Throne and restore House Targaryen. Members of the small council and Major houses of the Seven Kingdoms have been called upon to attend a special council to discuss this pressing issue.
