MIAS aims to offer students a range of activities, initiatives and programs that positively enhances students’ exploration of international affairs.
Your sponsorship of MIAS contribute to a larger and more diverse range of students being supported, coached and trained to ensure they can flourish in international affairs.
Sponsoring our events would provide your organisation with the opportunity to strengthen student and faculty relationships with Monash University. This provides further opportunities for publicity and student engagement with your organisation.
By attending our events and participating in our initiatives, students develop their critical thinking skills, cultural competency, leadership skills and public speaking skills all whilst expanding their knowledge in the field of International Relations and engaging with relevant pressing issues.
Our events and initiatives draw in students from all different faculty areas. This ensures your interaction with and inspiration of students completing double degrees and beyond the Arts Faculty entirely, for example Faculty of Medicine students, to complete Art-related degrees.
Partnering with MIAS on our events would provide another platform for further student engagement, increasing student awareness of other Faculty of Arts and Monash University Programs which they may be previously unaware of.
The Monash International Affairs Society’s Delegation demonstrated an outstanding performance at the 2024 National Model United Nations Conference in New York.
MIAS’ 2024 New York Delegation won the prestigious “Outstanding Delegation” recognition and placing them in the Top 5% of participating universities, and the only Australian University represented at the conference.
Alongside such achievements, many students have received individual awards such as the Position Paper Award and Diplomacy Award.
In 2023 MIAS proudly won 2 awards at Monash’s Clubs and Societies Awards Night.
