On Wednesday, 22 April 2020, the Monash Delegations to WorldMUN and NMUN spoke with Her Excellency Ambassador Tegan Brink, Deputy Head of the Australian Mission to the UN.
The MIAS delegates to the National Model United Nations were to meet with Ambassador Brink at the Australian Mission in New York in April. However, the conference was cancelled and New York has subsequently gone into lock-down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ambassador Brink shared her insight into Australian-UN relations and her work as a diplomat. Her Excellency discussed diplomacy during COVID-19 and the impact on the UN and other institutions, answering the various questions of the participants of this video call.
