Our Writing Workshop Video Series has been designed in response to the interests of the MIAS community. After putting out an EOI, we designed a 4-part video series that covers the skills of political journalism.
These videos cover three key topics:
- How to turn your idea into a completed piece and avoid rewriting already written content
- Developing your journalistic writing skills
- Acknowledging your political bias and how to refine your opinions
In collaboration with Pivot, the MIAS publication, this series is intended to provide insight and tips into journalism, political writing and how to create articles for a publication such as Pivot. We also provided a 1-hour zoom workshop where members could ask current and former pivot writers/editors any questions they had about political journalism or writing in general. We hope that this series provides you with the knowledge and confidence to use your voice through journalism, or maybe even put your name forward to be a part of our Pivot writing team.
