MIAS is excited to have had finished a fantastic Semester of events this year with ‘An Evening with the Israeli Ambassador’. His Excellency Mark Sofer, Ambassador from Israel to Australia, previously served as Israel’s ambassador in India (2008-2011) and in Ireland (1999-2002). During the 1990s, he was a policy adviser to Prime Minister Shimon Peres. He also served in posts in Norway, Peru, and the United States. The night was filled with thought provoking and engaging discussion topics and concluded with a chance for participants to mingle amongst each other whilst enjoying a nibble. The Ambassador spoke on spoke on Israel’s foreign policy, as well as general global foreign policy and answer audience questions through a Q&A session.
