On the 30thApril 2019, MIAS held a social event at Pixel Bar & Café! The aim of the event was to create a relaxed space for members to meet each other and have some fun over games and food.
The night began with a game of UNO where we debate the rules throughout the game. The question remains whether you can ‘put down after picking up’ or whether you can stack draw 2 cards. Groups also played a couple rounds of ‘One Night Ultimate Werewolf’ where attendees’ skills of persuasion and secrecy were tested. As more people came in, members began moving on to smaller group games such as Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros. & Chess.
Throughout the night we provided members with tokens to spend on any food and drinks at the bar. This resulted in many Jaffles and Nachos being purchased and shared. It also led to a couple round of drinks, including the strange concept of Almond Milk milkshakes.
Overall, everyone enjoyed themselves by catching up with old friends while simultaneously making new ones. MIAS thanks Pixel Bar & Café for having us at their venue and the members that attended the event as this contributed to a pleasant night for all.
