To kick-start this semester, we welcome students to officially become a member by signing up at the Mid-Year Festival, 30 JULY 2013 (TUESDAY) 11AM-3PM Upstairs at the Main Dining Hall, Campus Centre. Being a member entitles you to amazing academic and career opportunities. There are many events planned for this semester, including a campus MUN, speaking events, career conference opportunities, etc. We are also preparing to send a delegation to WorldMUN in Brussels next year, so please join if you want to be involved with that!
We will also hold our Annual General Meeting where Officer positions will be elected for the 2014 calendar year. Please mark your calendars for 19 August, 2-4 PM (Venue TBA). If you are interested in running for President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, or MWOP–please email mias@monashclubs.org so we can explain to you what is expected in each role. All elected Officers will receive mentoring from MIAS, so you won’t go into the job blindly. At the AGM, you will also meet the current leaders and find out how you can participate actively in the club.
